Shape (Definition): 

In geometry, a shape can be defined as the outer boundary to form of an object.

Types of Shapes:

There are mainly two types of shapes,

1. Close Shape                                        2. Open Shape

The close shape type again divided into the following types:

i) 2-dimensional (2-D) Shapes
ii) 3-dimensional (3-D) shapes
